US (IL): Spring has sprung at Woldhuis Farms Sunrise Greenhouse

Spring has sprung, which means busy times for Woldhuis Farms Sunrise Greenhouse. In this video below, Trevor Woldhuis, Co-Owner of this Illinois-based company reveals a behind-the-scenes look at his business and explains a bit more about the core business of the company and the trends that they are continuously trying to adapt to.



The 8-acre greenhouse Woldhuis Farms Sunrise Greenhouse is home to a vast array of Flowering annuals and hanging baskets. About 2/3 of their 8 acre greenhouse is retail space where customers can walk around. Almost all the plants that they sell are 'home-made'.

Next to flowering annuals, decorative edibles are becoming an increasingly important business too, especially tomatoes. Woldhuis farms grows over 80 tomato varieties, 40 pepper varieties, but also other vegetables like onions, kale and more.
