NL: Winner Lily League also in Onings Test Greenhouse

OT hybrid Table Dance is defending its number one position in the Lily League this year. Initiator Onings Holland has 624 other varieties in its test greenhouse this year, competing to be the new Lily League winner. During the Dutch Lily Days from June 6th-9th, visitors will be surprised and inspired by Onings Holland's flourishing trials and are asked to make their favorite pick as the Lily League top most appreciated lily varieties.

"Actually, there are countless types of lilies that are hard to compare. These are often the favorite success numbers from breeders and exporters around the world. With our participation in the Dutch Lily Days and also with the initiation of Lily League, we want to challenge visitors to reflect the successful varieties of the future”, explains Evert van Zanten of Onings Holland, the initiators of the Lily League. "The lily has a solid, but traditional reputation. Many hybridizers brought us some new introductions of trendy and different shapes and colors. All these new introductions are now planted side by side in the Onings test greenhouse. There are more than 4373 trials for you to explore. For us, that is a way to stay on top of the market, development and trends. But, it is also a source of inspiration for the visitor. Of course, we are proud to have last year’s Lily League winner in our test greenhouse, but we strive to keep it interesting for visitors with many other varieties."

Anyone, anywhere, can participate
Participants can be inspired at Onings Holland’s test greenhouse, but also at other Dutch Lily Days participants. Before and during these four days, from June 6th-9th, your favorite top 10 can be filled out and submitted online through the website www.lilyleague.com. On June 13th, the voting will close and submission will be counted. After votes are counted, the most beautiful, popular and most appreciated lily will be announced.

The participant who picked closest to the matching top 10 wins an airplane ticket to the Dutch Lily Days 2018 or a travel voucher valued at € 1,000.
