July 10-13, Iowa State University:

US (IA): Registration open for annual AERGC meeting

Registration for the 32nd Annual Meeting of The Association of Education and Research Greenhouse Curators (AERGC) at Iowa State University in Ames from July 10-13, 2017 is currently open. The Association of Education and Research Greenhouse Curators is a network of professionals involved with the management and operation of plant growth facilities at public and private universities, colleges, and research institutions. 



Educational sessions include topics on water quality, biological controls, plant breeding, pesticide impacts on pollinators, grapes and hops research, and bioplastics. Dr. Raymond Cloyd of Kansas State University, Suzanne Wainwright Evans of Buglady Consulting, and several ISU faculty including Dr. Patrick Schnable, Director of the ISU Plant Sciences Institute, are among the speakers.



Attendees will tour ISU’s Reiman Gardens, BioCentury Farm’s Algal Production Facility, Biofuel Production Facility, Biopolymers Production, and Envirotron in addition to the Horticulture Greenhouse, Ada Hayden Herbarium, Iowa State Plant Diagnostic Clinic, Iowa State Soil and Plant Analysis Lab.
