NL: Montana Lisianthus doubles company with new greenhouse
By how much exactly, is not that important to owner Frank van Holst, but it comes down to ‘about a doubling’. Dutch lisianthus nursery Montana Lisianthus is in the middle of hectic building works, where in about one month the first plants will be delivered. In October, according to the plans, all works will be completed.
The appointed builder is Technokas. In terms of design, the new building is not very different from existing facilities, with the exception of the diffuse glass. With this glass, the sunlight will be utilized even better.
Montana has specialized in lisianthuses for 25 years. In addition to some well known varieties - such as the Rosita ('shaped like a rose and ornate buds like twisted 'whipped cream tufts '), the Alissa and the Rosanna - one might also know the grower of the ‘Mono Lisi’, a gift box which contains 50 flowers.
The new greenhouse is being built next to the current greenhouse at the Casembrootlaan, Poeldijk.
