"Bayer portfolio serves needs of greenhouse and nursery growers"

The Environmental Science business unit of Crop Science, a division of Bayer, offers greenhouse and nursery growers a comprehensive portfolio of innovative solutions, including Marengo herbicide and Altus insecticide.

“Our comprehensive pest management programs are designed to help growers expand their businesses by nurturing healthy, high-quality plants throughout the growing season,” said John Wendorf, U.S. Ornamental Business Manager for Bayer. “Our science-backed product portfolio can help greenhouse and nursery growers address an array of pest issues for a healthier, more beautiful crop.“

The comprehensive Bayer portfolio features brand new Altus insecticide and grower-trusted Marengo herbicide. Altus introduces a new active ingredient to the oramentals market, providing long-lasting systemic control of whiteflies, mealybugs, thrips and other major sucking pests as well as compatibility with bumble bees, honey bees and other beneficial athropods. Altus allows flexible application timing before, during and after bloom. Marengo controls more than 80 different weeds and offers up to eight months of selective, preemergence weed control to reduce labor and eliminate repeat herbicide applications. Bayer offers the following innovative solutions for professional greenhouse and nursery growers:

“With the mission of Science For A Better Life at our core, Bayer is constantly working to develop new solutions that help make our customers’ lives easier,” Wendorf said. “The Bayer Ornamentals product portfolio was developed through decades of research and first-hand experience in the market. We look forward to continuing to deliver the innovative solutions and industry expertise that growers have come to depend on for years to come. Together, we'll grow something beautiful.“
