“Service and Import Center”

Veiling Rhein Maas: New name for the Import Handling Department

The Import Handling department at Veiling Rhein-Maas is being changed to “Service and Import Center”. This department ensures that flowers and plants arriving from countries such as Israel, Ethiopia, Kenya, Turkey, Spain, Portugal and Italy can be auctioned successfully. The department's work includes unpacking and preparing products, an initial check of quantity and quality, and the administration processes relating to imported goods.

The department offers customers and suppliers of Veiling Rhein-Maas a wide range of additional services and in order to make the service options that are available to customers more visible, they decided to change the name of the department to “Service and Import Center”.
