Xylella fastidiosa causes a highly damaging bacterial disease and has around 400 host plants. In the Netherlands, this puts at risk almost the entire tree nursery assortment, a number of perennials, and many bedding, container and pot plants.
Host plants of Xylella are required to have a plant passport. The following host plants were recently added to the list:
- Cercis siliquastrum
- Cytisus villosus
- Ficus carica
- Fraxinus angustifolia
- Lavandula x intermedia
- Prunus domestica
- Rosa canina
- Vitis vinifera
