Members of Royal FloraHolland want extra GMM over continuation of auction clocks

A group of growers and traders fighting to maintain the physical auction clock today handed over a demand to Royal FloraHolland to call an extra General Members Meeting. This was reported by various sources.

The group of advocates for maintaining the clock fears that if closed the existence of the cooperation itself will come into question. They are making their concerns known through this Facebook page, as well as in other ways.

To call a GMM, the members who seek to do so must collectively represent a minimum turnover over € 300 million. This is the case and so the auction, so it would seem, cannot be closed just yet.

Royal FloraHolland hasn't responded in an official capacity yet.
