Royal FloraHolland delays image auctioning of plants

Yesterday a fruitful discussion was held between a delegation from Royal FloraHolland and the 'Keep the plant clock' action group. The attendees acknowledged the usefulness and the necessity of digitalisation. Royal FloraHolland understands that the deadline of October 4 2017 is too soon to stop the physical clock auctioning with its presentation of trolleys because the quality of the required images is not yet good enough.

It was agreed that the implementation will be carried out in another manner, with specific aids created for growers and buyers. New proposals will be presented at a special General Members Meeting to be organised in September 2017.
