Novelties at the FlowerTrials 2015:

Highlighted: Florist, Flora Cultura, Anthura, Sakata Ornamentals, Bos Flowerbulbs, Selecta Klemm, Schoneveld Breeding, Lily Looks, KP Holland, Rijnplant, Armada, Sion and Fides

The amount of visitors increased by 11% compared to last year. This was announced in the press release of the FlowersTrials, yesterday. Besides that, the the visitors represented more different countries and every individual visited on average more locations.

Last week, we published an extensive Photo Report of the FlowerTrials. In this article we will highlight some newcomers.


A pretty view: flowering gerberas in all different colors at Florist Breeding


Martine van Went of Florist Breeding shows one of their new gerberas.


An audience of 200 orchid professionals saw how Burkhard Holm from Germany was presented with the coveted Klaas Schoone Memorial Award at Floricultura. Holm won the prize for his extensive merit in the breeding of orchids


The breeder also presented new varieties of orchids and dendrobiums.

Mattijs van Bodegom gave us a tour and told us about the newest varieties, concepts and developments.


Gill Corless, marketing and retail manager, gave us an extensive overview of all the novelties and developments within Sakata Ornamentals


Sakata presented itself in a special setting, as a garden center. In this way the visitors could get an impression of how the products would look on the shelves.


The lisianthus is one of the main products of Sakata.


Also Van der Bos Flowerbulbs presented a few novelties at the DemoKwekerij in Honselersdijk, The Netherlands.

Schoneveld Breeding and Selecta presented together at the FloraHolland auction location in Naaldwijk, The Netherlands.
