Hurricane Irma

Florida: Flower companies provide water relief

Following the destruction of Hurricane Irma, several businesses within the flower industry joined together to help those impacted by the storm. Together, the companies arranged for an entire trailer load full of bottled water to be picked up from the Wakerfern Food Corp. Wholesale Division in Elizabeth, NL and delivered to Feeding South Florida food bank early next week.



The total amount of water delivered to the food bank was 20 pallets / 1560 cases / 24 per case = 37.440 bottles, representing a value of $6.800.
