Colours of Nature celebrates 12.5 year anniversary

Over the past period, the 12.5 year existence of Colours of Nature has been central for the Dutch cooperation of mini Gerbera growers. Last Thursday, September 28 2017, the day finally arrived. The anniversary was celebrated in style on this afternoon, where customers and other contacts present were thanked for their trust and collaboration over the years. After a colourful meeting and a seminar with various speakers the almost 150 attendees toasted a fruitful collaboration, including in the future, with a few drinks.

Seminar to honour the anniversary
Willem Batist, president of Colours of Nature, and Erik van der Spek, head of sales at Colours of Nature, opened the seminar. Both gentlemen looked back at the 12.5 year existence in individual existence, in which they also looked forward, by mentioning the vision of the future of the growers' cooperation.

Each year Colours of Nature harvests and processes as many as 225 million mini gerberas, with which they supply the retail sector in Europe. "Thanks to our combined strengths and focus on large production units we are able to achieve the very best production results. This goes hand in hand with a more efficient use of labour." Everything was summed up in the new company video, which was shown to all present:

The seminar was continued by the guest speakers, in which president Frank van Mil of Pull Positions hosted the event. Guest speaker Dr. Cindy van Cauter of Quotes Research gave an airy, but practical presentation in which consumer and shopper behaviour was central. With the combination of service, quality, reliability in supply and a wide colour assortment, Colours of Nature is focusing on retail. But what are the trends in retail? And what impact does changing consumer purchasing behaviour have on stores, products and packaging? The seminar continued with Jens Müller of retail chain Markthalle in Krefeld. Announced as an international top speaker this so-called expert turned into comedian Pieter de Rijk, much to the hilarity of spectators. This comical fake speaker ended the seminar with a surprise. After these speakers it was time to say cheers and continue the celebrations will the well known informal get together, whilst enjoying a snack and a drink.
