What the consumers' eyes behold: Looking at plants through their eyes

Ever wonder what consumers think when they shop for plants? A team of researchers has been investigating the plant selection and shopping process for a few years with eye-tracking glasses. While we can’t hear what consumers are thinking (exactly), we can understand what they are thinking about by watching where their eyes travel.

Dr. Bridget Behe will present key findings from recent studies and explain how you can use the results to improve the customers’ shopping process. Whether you are a grower, wholesaler, or retailer, you will enjoy this webinar and have several "take-home" messages to boost sales and improve customer satisfaction.

Bridget Behe is currently a Professor of Horticulture at Michigan State University. She teaches courses on marketing and management for horticulture majors. Dr. Behe has conducted over 100 consumer and market research projects on horticultural products, both edible and ornamental. She has written more than 500 publications in the trade press and peer-reviewed journals. She joined Michigan State’s faculty in August, 1997, after serving on the faculty at Auburn University (Alabama) for 8 years. Dr. Behe earned degrees from Penn State University (Ph.D. Horticulture, B.S. Horticulture, B.S. Agricultural Education) and The Ohio State University (M.S. Horticulture). She currently serves on the AmericanHort Retail Committee.
