Kick Off Dümmen Orange Global Leadership Programme 2018

Dümmen Orange has launched their Global Leadership Program 2018 with a group of 12 talents coming from Germany, China, Guatemala, USA and the Netherlands.

The first part of the program took place in the Netherlands. At their Hobaho office different topics were addressed. Dümmen Orange CEO Biense Visser kicked off the program sharing his vision on the industry and discussing the strategy of the company. Facilitated by Stevin Veenendaal, the group discussed their personal leadership styles supported by different models and a personal report from Management Drives. A full day was spent on cross cultural collaboration with facilitator Frank Garten. The last two days were spent on Lean management at the Neyenrode Lean Institute, in order to learn in practice how process thinking can help any organization to improve their customer focus and service levels.

Participant Andrew Konicki (Regional Sales Manager North America): “This is a great opportunity for me to develop myself and learn from a diverse cultural group of leaders within Dümmen Orange. The collaboration was inspiring and I’m excited for the next steps in this journey.” Chunting Lang (Breeder Kalanchoë) adds: “Leadership is not about a title. It is about impact, inspiration and passion for your work, your team, your colleagues and your customers. To lead them from where they are to where they have not been yet. This program helps me to do this better every day.” Marcel van Rosmalen (Senior Business Controller): “A unique experience in a pressure cooker to reflect on your own leadership style, were I expand my strategic and business knowledge together with a diverse and knowledgeable group of colleagues!”

In February 2018 the second week of the program will be held in Spain, where the group will focus on propagation processes, customers and a business simulation. The third and final week of the program will focus on innovation and will take place at their brand new facility in Rheinberg, Germany and at the University of Wageningen, the Netherlands.
