UK: A new one-day event for retailers, suppliers and growers

The Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) and Garden Industry Manufacturers Association (GIMA) announce Cultivating Retail – a collaborative one-day event for retailers, suppliers and growers. This event will take place on Tuesday 13 November 2018 at the East Midlands Conference Centre and De Vere Orchard Hotel in Nottingham.

The event, first announced at the HTA Garden Futures Conference last year, aims to provide a mix of strategic and inspirational content from external speakers, panel sessions tackling supply chain issues and topic led seminars providing practical ‘take home’ ideas for all delegates. Throughout the event there will be plenty of opportunity for networking which will continue at the business dinner in the evening.

Cultivating Retail takes place at the East Midlands Conference Centre set within the parkland of Nottingham University’s campus. This purpose built venue, complete with auditorium, is adjacent to the Orchard Hotel. Built in 2012 this eco-friendly hotel has been awarded a BREEAM rating of excellent and using the latest technology to reduce carbon emissions benefits from plenty of daylight.

Martin Simmons, HTA Director of Operations comments, “We are really excited about this new industry event and see it as a great opportunity to bring the retailers, suppliers and growers together. Great inspirational content together with an easily accessible venue makes this a ‘must attend’ event for the garden retail supply chain.”

Vicky Nuttall, GIMA Director adds, ‘We are pleased to be working collaboratively with the HTA to create this important industry event later this year. By bringing together the key players in the garden retail supply chain, all under one roof, we hope to begin to tackle some of the big issues affecting us all.’

Further information about the programme will be announced over the coming months. For further information visit www.hta.org.uk/cultivatingretail or www.gima.org.uk
