Ecuador: Royal Flowers has high production despite adverse weather

Due to the inclement weather which affected Ecuador and Colombia at such a critical time, this year’s Valentine’s Day harvest at the Royal Flowers farms in Ecuador was delayed by a maximum of only two to three days. Despite that fact, the company had a relatively productive yield even though they shipped 10% less than what they had anticipated.

Towards the end of the holiday cycle Royal Flowers was able to complete 99% of its bookings. On an even more positive note, the crop of their flagship rose, Freedom, produced the most richly saturated red hue Royal has ever seen in this flower, the grower reports.
