NL: Van Egmond Lisianthus expands growing facilities

Van Egmond are expanding their growing facilities with 1 hectare this year. "Due to the continued growth in the demand for plant material from Lisianthus, we have to expand our propagation facilities."

"This new greenhouse has a concrete floor and has all the facilities to optimally grow young plants. "Last month, this Dutch propagator and young plant grower already announced that they have bought 3.2 ha of land.

This family company exports their lisianthus young plants all over the world. "Israel, Tanzania, China and Europe are our main markets." However, establishing a nursery abroad is not an option. "Propagating Lisiantus is difficult."

The construction of the greenhouse has started and it will be ready in the 3rd quarter of 2018.
