NL: Lot of interest for opening Waterdrinker Green Trade Center

On February 18th, at 4:15 am, even before the arrival of the first employees, a group of 30 enthusiastic customers were waiting at the front door of the brand-new Waterdrinker Green Trade Center (GTC). They were ready to make their first purchases in this facility. And when the doors opened, a good start that set the tone for the rest of the day!

It soon became clear that the news about the opening of the GTC had reached all of Europe: florists, garden centers and concept stores from the Netherlands, but also from Germany, France and Poland did not want to miss this festive day. Master florists such as Florian Seyd from The Wunderkammer and Menno Kroon also showed up. Just like trend watcher Sandra Könings from Trendlogic and green stylists like Romeo Sommers, Petra van de Veen and Marleen de Wit.

First figures
An initial analysis of the sales figures already indicates – according to Waterdrinker - that the expansion of the offer of garden plants and tree nursery items has been a good decision. Just like the expansion of the number of pots and accessories. Striking is the Phalaenopsis, which is the best-selling plant and thus turns out to be the all time favorite. Also the air-purifying plants and composed arrangements were popular. The flower cold storage was full of beautiful seasonal flowers, and the novelties also attracted great interest.

The Waterdrinker Green Trade Center - House of the Grower - is the purchasing center and the meeting place for professionals from all over Europe. Leading and inspiring with no fewer than 25,000 m2 of flowers, plants, pots and accessories, a loading hall, inspiring entrance area and Green Café.
