Fine Americas releases 2018-19 PGR Guide for Perennials

Fine Americas, a specialist in plant growth regulators (PGRs), provides growers with the 2018-19 PGR Guide for Perennials.

Crop focus for the guide alternates years, and this edition focuses on perennials, with contributions from leading academics and technical experts. Virginia Tech’s Joyce G. Latimer and Holly L. Scoggins examine tank mixing BA with PGRs to improve branching. Mara C. Grossman contributes an article on controlling hybrid echinacea growth. Latimer also provides recommendations on PGR rates and applications for containerized perennials, as well as integrated growth regulation of herbaceous perennials. Brian Whipker of North Carolina State University shares tips for Fresco and Collate use. Latimer and Whipker collaborated for a comprehensive review of PGRs available in the U.S. A cornerstone of the PGR Guide is the industry’s most comprehensive rate table, which includes rates from PGR product labels, Virginia Tech research results and other published sources. Always read and follow label directions.

“Enhancing growers’ success is our guiding principle—that’s just one reason we work with GrowerTalks to put the latest, most powerful PGR tools and use techniques in one place for growers, in this easy-to-reference guide,” says Greg Johnson, President, Fine Americas.
