US: Application deadline is June 1 for AFE research pre-proposals

The American Floral Endowment (AFE) is now calling for research pre-proposal applications for 2019-2020.

Secure funding for your floriculture research project by applying before the deadline of June 1.

The primary research funding priorities are relevant to all segments of the floral industry:
  • Botrytis Control and Management
  • Thrips Control and Management
  • Postharvest Technology
  • Production Technology
  • Advanced Breeding Technology, including CRISPR

Research projects can last from one to three years and any reasonable but justifiable budget will be considered.

For the current 2018-2019 cycle, the Endowment is funding more than $325,000 in research.

AFE's currently-funded research is available online, as well as final research reports from previously-funded projects.

Apply at endowment.org and submit all supporting documents by the June 1 deadline.
