UK: Popular UK Mother's Day flowers and plants

Yesterday, March 11, Mother's Day was celebrated in the UK. Even though the extreme sow and icy weather, which created very challenging delivery conditions, the majority of the flowers could be delivered.

With the holiday being celebrated earlier this year, violas daffodils have been very popular reports The Farplants Group, one of the largest wholesale supplier of outdoor plants to Garden Centres and Garden Centre chains in the UK. Over the last years, they have seen the demand for outdoor planted containers as gifts for Mother's Day steadily increasing.

In the run-up to Mother's Day, it has been very busy at London’s wholesale market New Covent Garden Market as well. They however, have not seen anything out of the ordinary this year. "Just lots of seasonal favourites like roses, ranunculus, anemones, new scabiosa 'red velvet scoop', lilacs, stocks and fritillaria", they say.
