Next step Porta Nova IV: installation screens
The new construction of Dutch rose nursery Porta Nova is progressing. Last week El Flaco Scherminstallaties started installing the screens.
Van der Valk systems supplies the materials for the screen installations. Peter van der Valk, El Flaco: "It is good material to work with."
Peter: "We are installing a horizontal dual screen with the Valk triple plus 38mm screen profile. We have also installed the Valk Triple plus 32mm intermediary profile with the KliMax skid system." The dual screen consists of two screens on a wire bed. "One is for the emanation of light, and the other for the climate in the greenhouse." The area is 86,400m2 in total. "For us that means twice the size, because we are installing two screens."
All in all the installation is quite a job keeping the company from Honselersdijk busy for eight weeks. "Porta Nova maintains high levels of quality so the work must be executed flawlessly. When around week 40 the heating and the tube rail has been installed in the greenhouse, we will install the canvas. Then the plants can be moved in."
El Flaco is well up to the task. Peter: "We have been doing this all our lives."
