Ukraine: Flower Expo organizers see strong growth ahead of 12th edition

From 17-19 April, Flower Expo Ukraine will kick off its 12th edition, the exhibition is being held annually at the International Exhibition Centre (IEC) in Kiev.

Flower Expo Ukraine is Ukraine’s only exhibition for Flower Business, Horticulture, Nurseries, Landscape Design and Floristry.

The exhibition has since its start in 2006 been organised under the patronage of the Flower Council of Ukraine and has built up a very solid position as one of the leading trade shows for the entire horticultural and floricultural sector in Eastern Europe.

Flower Expo Ukraine attracts trade visitors from all over Ukraine and CIS countries, last year the exhibition attracted a total of 7,234 visitors.

After some difficult years the organisers see that more and more companies find their way to the exhibition again and the number of participants is increasing rapidly. This year the exhibition increases with some 30%, Ukrainian sales is even up with more than 70% in comparison to last year.

Apart from the strong increase on the Ukrainian side also international interest in the Ukrainian market is growing again, this is also one of the reasons that this year Flower Expo Ukraine hosts a record high number of 34 Dutch companies. In total the exhibition will welcome more than 100 companies from 9 different countries including: Colombia, France, Germany, Israel, Kenya, the Netherlands, Poland, Ukraine and U.S.A.

The strong growth underlines that the exhibition contributes to the development of the flower sector in Ukraine. Additionally the market situation is getting more and more favourable; according to the World Bank Ukrainian GDP is forecasted to grow with 3.5% in 2018 and 4% in 2019.

The organisers are committed to further develop and strengthen Flower Expo Ukraine so that it will remain to be the best platform for the flower business and horticultural sector in Ukraine and beyond.

Flower Expo Ukraine is being organised under the patronage of the Flower Council of Ukraine and each year, the exhibition brings together industry professionals from the horticultural sector from around Ukraine and CIS Countries.
