On 16 April 2018, Priva announced the appointment of Bram Koppert as General Manager Asia. In Bram’s previous role as Manager Asia Pacific at Koppert Biological Systems, he was responsible for the management of the Asia sales and development teams.

Bram Koppert about his choice to accept the position: “It’s an incredible opportunity to work in China and wider Asia’s horticulture sector. I am passionate about sustainable agriculture and horticulture, and the opportunities Asia has to offer. The continuing development of the economies, people, incomes, living standards, and urban centers are just stunning to watch, and it has a huge influence on our business. Working for Priva enables me to contribute to the sustainable growth of horticulture, that is exciting, and an honor to me. Therefore, I am happy with the opportunity to lead Priva’s business in Asia.”

Meiny Prins, CEO of Priva, explains the appointment of Bram Koppert: “We are pleased to announce that Bram Koppert has accepted the position of General Manager Asia, which is a crucial one for our company. It’s been about 25 years since Priva first set foot in the Chinese market and just over 10 years since we opened our first office in Beijing. By now, we have reached a level in the professionalization in our sales and services offerings in the Asian market that requires taking a next step. With Bram Koppert in the position of General Manager, we can bring our solid market position in the region to the next level. Bram has a strong understanding of the horticulture industry and has lived in China for several years. He is able to create a bridge between The Netherlands and China. His experience and credentials are a great match for our opportunities and challenges in the Chinese and wider Asian market. Bram will start in De Lier and will be based in China as of September 1, 2018. We welcome Bram and wish him and his family all the best in China.”
