Geoffrey Denton joins Tozer Seeds as Plant Pathologist

Dr. Geoffrey Denton recently joined Tozer Seeds as Plant Pathologist. He will be involved in disease resistance breeding programs and his role will include developing new tests for analysing diseases in seed.

Dr. Denton is a highly experienced plant pathologist with a PhD in Biology from Imperial College London. He comes to the company with field and glasshouse trial experiences gained from the John Innes Centre, Rothamsted Research, ADAS and RHS Wisley.

He said “I am delighted to be joining Tozer Seeds and am looking forward to applying my expertise in plant pathology to the field of seeds.”

Dr. Frances Gawthrop, Director of Research and Development said “I am really pleased to welcome Geoff to the R&D team. His experience in plant pathology is a great asset and will support our breeding programmes and quality control. He will also work on collaborative research projects run in conjunction with a number of British universities.”
