Colorful introduction for the latest pelargonium brand from Syngenta

Pelargonium Calliope makes its debut on Dutch DIY TV program

The results of the 2017 market research on the plant wishes of the consumer are apparent. The consumer wants a plant with excellent garden performance, more flowers and easy care. The Calliope pelargonium does meet these wishes. The most popular TV gardener of the Netherlands, Rob Verlinden, will bring the Pelargonium Calliope weekly between April 14 and June 2 to the attention of 500,000-700,000 garden enthusiasts in his TV program 'Robs Grote Tuinverbouwing'.

The wish of the consumer
An extensive consumer survey in 2017 among 600 respondents in the United Kingdom and Germany clearly showed what garden enthusiasts expect from plants. Consumers made their wishes known: flowers that bloom for a long time (80%), striking, intense flower colors (71%), a season-long flowering period (71%) and plants requiring little care (73%). The Calliope assortment offers all these features.

Every Saturday during the next six weeks around 17:00 hours in the TV program 'Robs Grote Tuinverbouwing' on SBS6, many consumers will be shown the features and applications of Calliope.

Calliope, the easy way to colour your life
As the goddess Calliope in Greek Mythology is known for her inspiring eloquence and poetry, so the pelargoniums of the same name will inspire the creation of colorful gardens. That is how Syngenta describes the new Pelargonium Calliope. "It is different from other pelargoniums with more flowers in vivid and intense colors, very easy to maintain and longer lasting from April to the first night frost."

Calliope is supplied by Syngenta Flowers, is available in 34 colors and has five varieties, including the Calliope Medium and Calliope Landscape.
