All-America Selections & National Garden Bureau Summer Summit 2018

All-America Selections and National Garden Bureau are going south for their 2018 meeting! After two very successful years in the north (2017 in Rochester, NY and 2016 in Madison, WI) this year the two non-profit organizations are heading south to explore trial grounds, Display Gardens and therapeutic gardens in and around New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

Annually, All-America Selections and National Garden Bureau jointly host a summer meeting for the home garden industry. AAS judges, AAS Display Gardens, NGB members, other AAS Ambassadors, breeders, brokers, growers, retailers, media, garden writers and anyone who would like to attend to learn more about the organizations and their activities are welcome to attend.

Event Overview:
  • Tuesday, October 2: Registration is open from 4-6 p.m. Welcome Reception is from 6-8 p.m. at the Drury Inn and Suites New Orleans hotel in New Orleans.
  • Wednesday, October 3: Today is an immersion into the New Orleans culture with visits to AAS Display Garden, the New Orleans Botanical Garden, followed by city tours concluding with a “Dinner with Peers” along the esteemed Magazine Street.
  • Thursday, October 4: Today includes travel to Baton Rouge for a hearty welcome from our AAS Trial judges at Louisiana State University includes a tour of the very realistic and interesting Rural Life Museum. The annual Awards Banquet is this evening, held at the beautiful Burden Botanical Garden, an AAS Display Garden.
