Stokman pleased with modern new webshop
The site has been designed for both mobile devices and PCs and adapts the layout accordingly, something that is still rare in floriculture, according to SDF. In addition, most providers work with apps, but here the webshop is accessible via the website. That is an important difference, since an app needs to be installed and takes up memory.
André van Leeuwen from Stokman: "The new SDF webshop is a big step forward for our digital business. We frequently meet a buyer on the road who quickly wants to see what we have available. With our webshop, products can be found at lightning speed and can also be ordered directly, and products can also be easily shared via mail."
As broad as possible
Stokman has been based at the flower auction since 1974 and has customers in Germany, Italy and Belgium along with Dutch customers. The company has a clientele that represents almost every part of the industry - wholesalers, supermarkets, outdoor markets and retailers. André: "Stokman ensures that we orient ourselves as broadly as possible and that is why we purchase at all FloraHolland locations.
Stokman prides itself on quality communication with customers. "When the orders arrive, we always communicate whether it is a “must buy” or that the order needs to be adjusted for changing prices." We usually call back and forth so that our customers can benefit if the market is more favourable. With our team of experienced and ambitious young people, we try to satisfy our customers and quickly solve any problems that arise."
Every day a shipment is sent off to Germany, and at least three times per week to Italy. Most Dutch customers tend to visit the exporter in person.
