bloomon takes first step into gift market with Mother's Day bunch

"NL: "We are ready for the peak"

Mother's Day is approaching and this year floral bouquets company bloomon is responding with a special promotion. "We offer a luxurious Mother's Day bunch with many additional special seasonal flowers that we deliver on the Mother's Day weekend", says Reinoud Haal, Global Head of Growth at bloomon.

As long as the stock lasts
"For us this is the first time that we offer a one-off gift bunch that we even deliver during the weekend. To guarantee the freshness of the flowers, the mothers' day bunch is available as long as the stock lasts. "It requires some adjustments within our current process, in particular for our purchase department. We have successfully tested the purchasing, production and delivery of loose bunches in recent weeks. The relationship ties with our growers and other partners are strong, so we can quickly switch and deliver a good quality and fresh product during the Mother's Day weekend."

According to Reinoud, the reactions to the promotion are positive. "We have already received a lot of orders from both new and existing customers and are ready for the peak in the coming days."

Deliver or visit
Isn’t it nicer to just visit your mother instead of sending flowers? "Of course", Reinoud agrees, "a personal delivery is always nicer. But not everyone is able to pay a personal visit to his or her mother. And even if you do make a visit, you want to be assured of a stylish bunch of flowers. In that case our service can help out. We notice that customers have the flowers delivered to their home on Saturday and hand the flowers personally to their mother on Mother's Day."

Gift market
The market knows bloomon from the delivery of flowers on a subscription basis, but with this promotion the company takes the first step into the gift market. "With this, we are responding to the increasing demand for separately ordered bloomon bunches, for example as a present. The enthusiastic reactions and demand for these first gift bunches make a further roll-out very likely," says Reinoud.
