Leading up to the event, we will present a highlight of each participating company in a series of five articles. In this first edition, will focus on 7 of the participating companies in the Rhineland Westfalen region: Dümmen Orange, Ebbing Lohaus, Elsner PAC, Kietzler Jungpflanzen, Selecta one and Westhoff.
The Dümmen Orange FlowerTrials 2018. The theme is ‘Orange is the new green!’. At their locations in Rheinberg (DE) and Naaldwijk (NL), they go in depth with their GreenGuard and GreenCare policies, but besides that, there will be a lot of attention for novelties like Macy. Macy is the new pot carnation with big, bright, and clean pink double flowers in the Dümmen Orange assortment. The bicolour effect in the flower creates a special butterfly look and gives her a feminine touch. Macy is part of the compact and early Sprint Series and shows up with a perfectly round habit. Like all Sprint varieties, Macy can be used for early spring sales to open the bedding season, as well as a summer eye-catcher after the season
Elsner PAC still it's traditional focus on geraniums but is expanding their range with more colorful NG Impatiens series, trailing an upright Angelonia, Petunia and more. One of their novelties that they will display at the FlowerTrials is Flower Fairy Red Splash. It is a plant with a rounded and medium-strong growing habit, free and very early flowering with large flowers.
Selecta one will be present at two locations during the FlowerTrials, in Rheinland Westfalen Region (DE) and in the Westland region (NL). In Germany, more than 500 Selecta varieties of the current Selecta one assortment are presented in baskets and window boxes in the show garden there. At their new location in the Netherlands, they will show a new concept and colorful decorated theme worlds on more than 1,000 m². One of the highlights is Pelargonium Moonlight Tumbao – Passion in XXL. It is a Zonal Pelargonium that has very dark leaves and dark big flowers. This XXXL pelargonium is very vigorous.
