NL: Growers sell first flowers via Floranti

On June 8, at 8:38 the first orders were made via the Floranti platform. Tom de Ridder, who is in charge of purchasing at J. van Vliet Bloemenexport, was the first to buy a cart of Sweet Avalanche from Meijer Roses who is located in Pijnacker. After months of preparations, Floranti has now officially gone live.

Maurice van Winden, who is the director at Floranti, is very enthused that the company has now gone live: “It is amazing that after months of hard work we have gotten these results. When testing I immediately noticed this platform meant that both florists and growers really had to participate: They become motivated to work together. With this, the future looks bright.”

“Floranti is a unique company because both growers and florists can easily become co-owners via the Cooperative Floranti U.A. Many companies have already joined because they believe in the concept of automating this part of the industry. Some have already made themselves known, like Van Vliet Flower Group, Vireo – Hedera Plant and Ti Sento. Others choose not to be named at this point.
