The pH and electrical conductivity (EC) of irrigation water, fertilizer solutions, and growing substrate can have profound effects on crop growth and development. A hand-held pH and EC meter is a convenient way to monitor your irrigation solution and rootzone. However, a measurement is only as good as the instrument that is taking it.
