"Together the largest auction platform in Europe"

NL: Troostwijk and BVA merger

Auctio, with BVA Auctions as the most well-known label, and Troostwijk Auctions & Valuations are merging and together will form the largest online auction platform in Europe. "A logical step", according to CEOs Ghislaine Duijmelings (Troostwijk) and Herberth Samsom (Auctio). "We combine technology, auction expertise and market knowledge. Our buyers now will find even more interesting items. And our sales people in one go will reach an even larger international buyers' group. Our experts know exactly where the right buyers are."

One company, multiple brands
"Auctioning is increasingly about technology, data and marketing. We now combine this expertise and investment under the TBAuctions holding company", according to Samsom. "Troostwijk and BVA remain our main brands. We perfectly complement each other in the market. Every salesman can be accommodated. Based on data, we know via which brands and channels you can realize the best yield."

"We now offer 1.5 million items (parcels) per year in 6,700 auctions. We are present in 18 countries and buyers come from all over the world. This means that every month we get more than 6 million visits and almost 100 million page views. For buyers, buying and bidding safely is of great importance. We are an excellent alternative to regular sales channels. A large supply and the excitement of bidding play a major role here."

Focus on specific sectors
The company will focus even more on specific sectors and areas of growth throughout Europe. A small selection: art & antiques, real estate, agriculture, metalworking, food processing, construction, infrastructure, logistics & transport. Samsom: "In some countries and sectors, auctioning as a sales method is not yet that established. In those places too we are also going to put auctions clearly on the map as the ultimate selling method. We have a total of 350 employees ready to help you to turn value into cash."
