Vietnam: Dalat Hasfarm presents research greenhouse to Dalat University

Last month, Dalat Hasfarm handed over a new research greenhouse to Dalat University.

In an increasingly complex world, connecting theoretical education with the practical needs of private enterprise is a concern and a challenge, but it is also a great opportunity.

It was for this reason that in 2016 Dalat University took the initiative and invited Dalat Hasfarm to discuss the question of “how to integrate high tech horticulture practices into the theoretical curriculum of the students”.

Finding the answer to this question would not only benefit the Name and Fame of Dalat University as a professional institute. It would also give the students a better start in life and it would also benefit the future development of Dalat Hasfarm.

Currently, from 3,500 staff and workers employed by Dalat Hasfarm, over 400 are university graduates and the vast majority of those are from Dalat University.

So after various discussions and initiatives, in July of 2017, the company signed a Memorandum of Understanding for the funding and construction of a high tech Research Greenhouse.

Dalat Hasfarm hope that this Research Greenhouse will be a place of practical and scientific research and that it will be part of the answer; “how to integrate high tech horticulture practices into the theoretical curriculum of the students”.

On this occasion many co-sponsors of this project were rewarded:
  • Richel from France for supplying the material for the greenhouse
  • Luiten and Hortimax from Holland for supplying the shade screen and climate control
  • Netafim from Israel for the irrigation equipment.
Last but not least all parties would like to thank Lam Dong People Committee for their continuous support.
