Terra Nova Nurseries announced a sneak peek of Heuchera Grande Black PPAF ('TNHEUGB'). This variety has multiple crowns; large, wavy leaves; and it blooms from August to September.
Heuchera Grande Black has red-black leaves with small, flowery spikes that bloom throughout the summer. This mound-forming perennial most actively grows in spring.
U.S.D.A. Hardiness Zones for Heuchera Grande Black are four to nine, and the variety offers the ability for full-sun exposure. Mature plant height is 13’, with a width of 22’, and an extended flower height of 20’.
Special uses allow the new variety to be a hummingbird attractor, and a colorful addition in a winter landscape. The Heuchera Grande Black is a landscape or container plant and grows well in the sun or shade. Colorful companions include Terra Nova Nurseries’ Eucomis ‘Glow Sticks’, Gaillardia ‘Sun Flare’ and Sedum ‘Dark Magic’.
