Begonia hybrida Tophat White scooped first prize in the Innovert d’Or category. Chosen by a panel of industry experts against stiff competition from 60 other varieties, Tophat White won for its very large white flowers combined with an eye-catching large pompom of yellow stamens in the centre. Stronger and more resistant to downy mildew than any other busy lizzie it provides all summer-long flowering in six colours.
Syngenta Flowers also won two awards at the HTA National Plant Show in the UK on June 18-19, which attracted over 2,500 trade visitors and horticultural experts.
