The company has submitted Agapanthus ‘Fireworks’ and Salvia ‘Kisses & Wishes’ to the Plant, Seed & Bulb category at Glee, which runs from September 10-12 at the NEC in Birmingham.
Colin Stanley, Retail Sales Manager at Wyevale Nurseries, said: “The New Product Showcase is one of Glee’s most inspirational features and is the place for buyers to source the most unique and sought-after products at the show. We’re delighted this year to be entering two new plants into the Plant, Seed & Bulb category.
“What’s special about this agapanthus is its flower heads. They are supersize and are densely packed with delicate trumpet flowers giving maximum impact with intricate detail. This plant will be ready to sell to buyers in June 2019.”
Salvia ‘Kisses & Wishes’ was a finalist at the 2018 Chelsea Flower Show. It shares similar attributes to its sisters the hugely popular Salvia ‘Love and Wishes’ and Salvia ‘Wendy’s Wish’.
Colin added: “This Salvia has soft pink flowers in great numbers, which maintain their clear, bright pink colour without reversion. It’s incredibly free flowering from May until the early frosts. It will go on general release in May 2019.”
The New Product Showcase will feature more than 300 of the latest and greatest products from well-known market leading brands as well as some never-before-seen start-ups, offering huge diversity and excitement.
The New Product Showcase Awards will take place on Monday, September 10. A team of experts will be judging all the entries and will be presenting the awards to the winners at 5pm.
Colin continued: “If your mission at Glee this year is to source new plants bursting with colour and attitude make sure you pop by to see these two stunning plants at the New Products Showcase.”
