Chinese adding color with gypsophilas
In order to expand in this market, Florsani decided to participate for the first time at the Hortiflorexpo IPM Beijing, which took place from May 11-13. According to Belen García, a member of the sales team at Florsani, it is a great platform to meet new clients and it offered the opportunity to introduce their new products such as Ornithogalum and Scabiosas. However, their gypsophila varieties took center stage at their booth. “We have many interesting products to sell, but we decided to put the gypsophilas in the spotlight, because these remain in high demand in the Chinese market compared to our other flowers. And in particular, the tinted gypsophilas are becoming very popular in the Chinese market because of their quality and variety of colors”, she says.
“In spite of the language barrier and logistics that any South American exporter faces, the Asian market is very important to us. And we see a bright future for all other South American growers too. They keep growing better products and improving their business abilities to become stronger and more present in the flower market. They rally against all odds, hopefully they will continue growing and finding new solutions to the prices, logistics and language barriers'', says Belen .
