NL: Twin brothers building new 2.5 ha greenhouse

The twin brothers Jan and Johan van Straaten will start building a new greenhouse of 2.5 ha in January, with hydrangea and poinsettia in the brand new greenhouse.

Since 1974, Plantation Stadsweiden has been located at the Rietmeen in Harderwijk, the Netherlands. They changed their cultivation from vegetables and cut flowers to potted plants. The main cultivation right now is hydrangea, which covers 96% of the company.

Luiten Greenhouses is going to co-operate with the twin brothers and will have their share in the new project. Luiten Greenhouses is going to install three new screens, roll screens and twin-walls.

In January 2017 the project will be realized.
