Biobest gained an initial foothold in Russia in 2001 with sales of bumblebees. Beneficials followed suit in 2014. The interest of Russian growers in IPM programs is growing rapidly, with tomato, cucumber and roses as the leading crops.
“Russia has invested significantly in strengthening its local production infrastructure for horticultural products”, says Koen Van Elsen, Area Manager of Biobest. “The greenhouse sector is growing rapidly and modern growers are eager to adopt the latest technologies, also in terms of Integrated Pest Management.
