New name in the transport world: VDH The Freight Managers

As of January 1st, 2017 the companies A. van Dongen & Heerschap, Heestermans Logistiek, Fruit Forwarders and VDC Logistics have merged under one name: VDH The Freight Managers.

The four companies had already been working together for some time. Together they cover the entire supply chain from shipping to delivery anywhere in the world. The decision to more effectively and visibly join forces follows the fact that the activities of these four companies overlap in several areas and from management’s wish to emphasize the extensive service range and the all-inclusiveness more. This is reflected by a new name and a new slogan. The name VDH has its origins in the names of Van Dongen and Heestermans. The slogan ‘The Freight Managers' highlights the all-inclusiveness of the logistics process.

VDH The Freight Managers’ core business comprises customs, forwarding, warehousing, logistics and transport. These activities are spread out over four warehouses in the Netherlands, several global offices and agencies, its own fleet and a large number of supplementary services and facilities.
