Back to nature is key at IPM 2017

The revival of green house plants started some years ago, and it hasn't ended yet. Since hipsters in cities like New York filled their trendy coffee shops with leafy green plants, the popularity has risen. At the IPM Essen it became clear that growers and trade organisations still see a lot of potential in this segment. Green house plants were being promoted all over the show.

What else is not to be missed to impress the youngsters today? Natural colours and natural materials were found show-wide. And growing your own fruit and veggies has made a massive comeback as well. Back to nature is key.

The trade fair comes to an end today, and this year's edition again proved its international character. Not only European horticulturists, but also many international professionals from the horticultural industry found their way to the show. It is all about meeting new and potential clients. "During the Spring Trials in April and the Flower Trials in June, we will show our new varieties. At this show, we take the opportunity to network and strengthen the bonds with our relations. It is a great way to kick off the new year," says an ornamental breeder who is exhibiting at the show.

Also this year, the editorial teams of our floral and veggie newsletters, FloralDaily and HortiDaily, visited the show to make a complete photo report. It will be published on Monday January 30, but we will give you a sneak peek below:
