Grow Pod Solutions acquires Mobile Farming Systems

Grow Pod Solutions, a developer of technology-enabled automated indoor farms, announced the acquisition of Mobile Farming Systems.

Grow Pod Solutions develops portable agricultural farming environments that can be placed in virtually any location. These advanced transportable systems can be customized to grow a variety of fruits, vegetables, herbs and cash-crops, virtually anywhere.

Mobile Farming Systems develops Hydroponic Grow Systems that offer ease of transport, security, low cost, and convenience. MFS has also developed a line of home hydroponic systems for the hobby gardener.

Grow Pod Solutions also acquired Mobile Farming Systems' United States Patents (US D705,564 S and US 2015/0068121 A1), for ornamental and hydroponic plant-growing stands. Grow Pod Solutions intends to fully capitalize on the many opportunities for revenue generation from these patents, including manufacturing and distributing, licensing, and enforcement.

"We are at the early stages of what may become one of the fastest growing industries in the world," said George Natzic, President of Grow Pod Solutions. "Whether for restaurants, communities, urban farming or entrepreneurs, the ability to grow food and cash crops in any location is one of the best applications of technology and innovation in decades."

The GrowPod systems are customized with vertical or horizontal racks and crop-specific Ag-lighting that provides higher yields in a shorter period of time than conventional production methods.

The GrowPod system can also be equipped with alternative energy components, so that it can exist almost entirely "off the grid." Moreover, the growing environment can be controlled remotely from any computer or smart phone.

Natzic said the purchase of MFS is part of the company's growth strategy. "We look forward to incorporating MFS' products, methodologies and patents into our operations."
