NL: Start of collaboration Van Zaal Transport and garden center Intratuin

This month has seen the launch of the collaboration between garden center chain Intratuin and transport company Van Zaal Transport. Both companies are excited about the collaboration.

The two companies agreed in December 2016 that as of January 2017 Van Zaal Transport would be handling all transportation from Intratuin Groen Centrum (IGC) to all sixty Intratuin subsidiaries. In addition they will handle a large part of the transportation from growers to IGC. Van Zaal Transport is pleased to deploy their vehicles for Intratuin. Owner Merijn van Zaal: "It is a name to be proud to drive for. And it's a great scale-up." Intratuin also perfectly fits in the nation-wide distribution network of the carrier. Van Zaal Transport services the Netherlands, Belgium and parts of Germany. This is exactly where Intratuin has branches.

Intratuin is also pleased about the collaboration with the transport company from North Holland. "Van Zaal Transport is progressive in terms of automation. The entire process is automated: From order entry to handling. This is great for us, because we have nothing to worry about. That saves a lot of time. In addition, we have ongoing insight about the location of incoming and outgoing products," according to Arjen Drok from Intratuin.

By acquiring Intratuin Van Zaal Transport is now the service provider for all major garden center chains in the Netherlands. In addition, the transport company services all branches of several Dutch DIY chains. Van Zaal Transport also drives for several Belgian garden centers.
