Ethiopia: Limonium, hypericum production suffer from cold weather

Due to adverse weather conditions in Southern Europe during the last year, the eucalyptus baby blue, cinerea and populus are very limited in supply. A great alternative to these products is eucalyptus robusta victoria. Available from mid-June to April in 55 to 70 cm with its unique sickle-shaped leaf, this eucalyptus is a welcome addition to any bouquet. For valentine's we are offering this product at a competitive price.

Last year’s drought in Portugal and Italy had a big impact on this year’s eucalyptus harvest. Coupled to this, extreme cold temperatures and snow at the beginning of 2017 resulted in stunted growth and reddening of the leaf edges and upper leaves.

In order to continue delivering a quality product, our suppliers are harvesting only in carefully selected areas to minimize discoloration.
