NL: Westland Adviesgroep and Smit Assurantiën merge

For many years, the Westland Adviesgroep in Poeldijk and Smit Assurantiën in 's-Gravenzande are one of the leading companies in the insurance market for horticulture. Westland Adviesgroep celebrated its fifteenth anniversary on January 1st, and Smit Assurantiën has been active in the market for decades. The consultancy concept "for entrepreneurs, by entrepreneurs" has proven their sustained commitment during the ups and downs of entrepreneurial Westland.

Doing business is about looking ahead: with that in mind, both offices have for some time been contemplating issues such as the ideal company size for staying close to the customer, to ensure long term expertise as well as purchasing power with insurance companies. 

So some time ago talks started regarding cooperation between Westland Adviesgroep and Smit Assurantiën. It soon turned out that in terms of working procedures, customer approach and on a personal level it matched well between company owners. And what is good, comes fast: both parties announce that with effect from March 1, 2017 they will continue together under the name of Westland Adviesgroep (Westland Advisory Group).

The new combination has a strong market share in horticulture, both in the primary market (greenhouse/crop) and secondary (suppliers, trading companies, technical installation sector, transporters, greenhouse builders, cash and carry etc). Also on an international level the required knowledge and experience is available so that customers can be followed and supported abroad.
