Houseplants of the Month for 2019 announced

Thejoyofplants.co.uk will be putting a selected houseplant, or group of houseplants, in the spotlight every month again in 2019. The specially produced photography will also take into account the style trends for 2019.

The images and the texts created for the consumer will also link up with the new growth platform: ‘Interior’, which will be used to persuade consumers to use plants to make their house a home. The media will also be inspired with interesting facts and attractive image material that matches the consumer’s needs in 2019.

How are the products selected?
The list of plants has been produced in collaboration with the product specialists at Royal FloraHolland. The selection takes into account a number of criteria: a product may only be promoted once every three years to make it possible to serve as many product groups as possible, as well as guarantee good availability; there needs to be at least four growers producing the plant or group of plants, and the products must have good supply over a period of seven months (with the exception of one or two seasonal products). Thejoyofplants.co.uk also assesses whether the plants are of interest to consumers (and consumer media) and fit with the current zeitgeist.

The list is being published now in order to offer the various sales channels, producers and press enough time to plan ahead and to encourage them to develop their own sales promotions to benefit optimally from this campaign. Supporting copy and images will be available to all parties as soon as they have been produced.
