December 12-13, Columbus

US (OH): MGIX Member Summit schedule announced

The MGIX Member Summit, ONLA’s annual conference “2.0”, will take place this December 12 & 13 at a new venue, the Hilton Columbus at Easton. The Summit will welcome 500 ambitious business owners, managers, and team members in the nursery and landscape industries. The new event format combines traditional education sessions with new networking opportunities designed to build connections and facilitate business between event sponsors and attendees.

Event features
Prioritizing business development and commerce, ONLA has built a conference schedule that makes it easy for attendees to connect with their peers, clients, and vendors. Programs such as speed-networking lunches and roundtable sessions introduce sponsors to attendees and help guide formative discussions, while allowing plenty of free time for perusing 40–50 sponsor exhibits. The new, smaller hotel-based venue allows for easy mingling since all education sessions, special events, meals, and sponsor displays are in one, centralized location.

The networking and professional development event kicks off with a keynote by Terri McEnaney, President of Bailey Nurseries, on Wednesday morning. Additional highlights include ONLA’s Awards Ceremony and Breakfast on Thursday, December 13, a women’s networking event sponsored by Luxflora, and, on Thursday afternoon, a closing general session and retrospective workshop featuring business consultant Anne Obarski of Merchandise Concepts.

Green industry professionals looking to maintain their certifications can attend up to 10 hours of continuing education credits, choosing from 40 sessions in the concurrent tracks of landscape design and maintenance, business and marketing, plant trends and best selections, and pests and diseases. Speakers include national experts, educators from the Ohio State University, and local business owners. A full schedule can be found here.

Registration
Registration opens September 15, 2018 to ONLA members. Registration will be available to non-members beginning October, 15. Space is limited.

The MGIX Member Summit’s all-in-one ticket price of $295 includes 10 one-hour education sessions, a keynote address, networking lunches, an awards breakfast, a roundtable session, morning coffee and afternoon snacks. A discounted room rate at the conference hotel–the Hilton Columbus at Easton–is available. Hotel information can be found here. For those who are staying in the hotel, a promotional ticket price of $245 will be offered.

Sponsorships are available. Various price levels include pre-event marketing perks, an onsite marketing display, and opportunities to meet with attendees throughout the two-day conference.
