A single source for an exclusive range of quality Dutch roses

Berg RoseS and Van der Drift Roses join forces

In order to stay competitive in an increasingly demand-driven market, the two Dutch rose companies Berg RoseS and Van der Drift Roses are entering into a commercial partnership. Starting September 1, they will join forces and offer a broad range of five Avalanche+ colors and nine specialties, supplemented with the red rose Red Naomi. This is a comprehensive package that is available through the Rose sales team.

Changes in the ornamental plant market

The international floriculture market is changing rapidly. Systems, databases and online channels are increasingly becoming an important tool in offering products. By cooperating on a commercial level, Berg RoseS and Van der Drift Roses can offer a wide range of products. In combination with a good supply system, they can optimally anticipate the new demand-driven market.

Sales via Berg RoseS
As of September, the product range will be offered as a package through Berg RoseS, giving the company the exclusive assortment of large-flowered roses for all customers. The roses are ordered directly from stock via a real-time stock system and a VMP link. Thanks to the centrally located storage facilities in Honselersdijk and Delfgauw, deliveries are fast and fresh.

Van den Berg RoseS
Van den Berg Roses is known as one of the most important international rose growers in the Netherlands. Van den Berg RoseS has its headquarters in Delfgauw and outside the Netherlands there are nurseries in Naivasha (Kenya) and in Kunming (China). In the Netherlands Van den Berg RoseS grows large-flowered roses on 160,000 m2. The roses grown in the Netherlands are traded under the Berg RoseS brand name. Ninety-five percent of the roses are destined for the international market and find their way to flower shops from Moscow to Los Angeles and from Oslo to Singapore.

Van der Drift Roses
Van der Drift Roses from Kwintsheul has been progressing for almost 20 years and aims for the highest possible quality level in the market. Its sales markets are spread across Europe. Van der Drift Roses started producing Red Naomi in 2007, a beautiful large red rose has a bud diameter of 9-14 cm. Since 2018 they have been able to completely control the greenhouse climate above their young crop with air conditioning, so that they are less dependent on weather conditions. Before the roses are processed, they are cooled for at least 20 hours. This improves vase life and increases the uniformity of the bouquet.
