Alexandra Farms have announced the winners of their first annual Garden Rose Design Contest. The contest was open to anyone, and designs were required to include garden roses (from any source).
Alexandra Farms received more than 340 entries from designers in countries around the world, including the U.S., South Korea, Italy, Colombia, Russia, South Africa, Canada, UK, Taiwan, Switzerland, Peru, France, Czech Republic, Chile, Kazakhstan, Brazil, Turks and Caicos, Ukraine, Guatemala, Malaysia, Sweden, Netherlands, Australia, Thailand, Israel, Panama, Dominican Republic and Croatia.
Judges were Alexandra Farms President Joey Azout; David JC Austin of David Austin Roses; Hitomi Gilliam AIFD EMC; and David Coake and Lori McNorton from Florists' Review. They had the difficult task of evaluating the entries and choosing the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners in each category: Wedding Bouquet and Everyday Design. The Readers’ Choice awards were chosen by public online vote during July.
